In times of strife, when whole nations ache and bleed
and future hangs on the edge of a knife,
we must adhere to myopia and greed
to retain our way of life.

Lest some other discover before us
the power of the weapons of war
by splitting the core,
a countdown to the end of days.

When great minds think alike
illuminated by the desire for the greater good,
bask in the radiance of god's mandate thus made flesh
upon the ground where we once stood.

Behold the realm of dust and ash
and hearken to the woes of the weak and the grief of the bleak
and the empire of bones in the name of peace,
which for the fallen few shall never cease.

As we awake to a world of mortal men,
who wield the wrath of gods within,
we must remind ourselves once again
that those we fear our still our kin.
